Wednesday 7th June
Chateau les Merles, 24520 Mouleydier
On Wednesday 7th June 2017 the Dordogne Delegation of the Chamber hosted a Networking Luncheon which was well attended by local members of the Franco-British community. Those attending were from very varied walks of life.
The event was organised by a long-standing supporter of the Chamber, Carolyn Chamberlain, with stalwart assistance from Joanna Urwin who, as a member of the Liaison Committee, is responsible for the publicity of events in the Dordogne.
The luncheon was held in the attractive Château les Merles, near Bergerac, and during the function, those present were invited to give a short address describing their own activities. There were several attendees who gladly took advantage of this opportunity, which proved interesting and informative discussion.
The luncheon was open to all, and Roger Haigh, the FBCCI delegate for the area, used the event to invite non-members to sign up to become local FBCCI 24 members. All the attendees also received a follow-up email with membership information, a downloadable form and information regarding the next informal ‘Get-together’ event in Périgueux on 14th June.
An “Exit Poll” at the end of the event showed satisfaction with the luncheon both from a gastronomic and a socio/business point of view. Another similar function is planned, elsewhere in the Dordogne, for the Autumn.
