Summer Garden Party 2014
The sound of engines revving might not have been an unusual occurrence in the front courtyard of the British Embassy, however, that of the brand new Jaguar F-Type coupé was. Two glossy models were unveiled under the warm afternoon sun on Thursday 26th June during the FBCCI’s annual Summer Garden Party by Boris Virfeu, Corporate Sales Director from Jaguar. Very few could remain immune to the draw of these beautiful cars, making the most of the wonderful chance to sit at the wheel and dream for a short while.
Guests were also treated to a cocktail dinner with a flavour of Normandy in the gardens of the embassy, where delicacies and specialties from the region were offered by the CCI Caen. Oysters, cheese and cider were some of the treats enjoyed after the traditional welcomes speeches from the British Ambassador to France, Sir Peter Ricketts, and Bob Lewis, the President of the chamber. The other sponsors, HSBC France and BT, also gave words of welcome, finally opening the floor to the fabulous prize draw the FBCCI had lined up. Three lucky winners walked away with a return journey Paris-New York with British Airways; a free stay in the luxurious Marriott Hotel on the Champs Elysées; and the jackpot: a Jaguar… for the weekend.
As the 2014 Summer Garden Party came to a close, guests walked away to the sound of champagne flutes clinking and the buzz of chattering people. What a great turn out and what a success, we’re already eager for next year!
