The Franco-British Chamber is delighted to welcome the new British Ambassador to France, Sir Julian King.
Previous to his current post, he was appointed Director General of the Northern Ireland Office from November 2011 to June 2014, and from 2009 to 2011 he was Ambassador to Ireland. He has served in a number of posts in Brussels, New York, Paris, Luxembourg, The Hague, Lisbon, as well as in London. From 2008 to 2009, he worked in the European Commission on secondment, heading the Office of the British Commissioner. He was appointed CMG in 2006 and CVO in 2011, following the historic first state visit to Ireland by Her Majesty the Queen.
