British Airways has provided a concise guide for all those arriving in the UK after the 7th December 2021.

The necessary measures to be taken depend on :

  • Whether you are fully vaccinated or not
  • Whether you have travelled from a ‘red list’ country or not

Please find below the updated list of rules.

ALL travellers from a red list county, irrespective of vaccination status, must :

  • Complete a Passenger Locator Form within 48 hours of travel
  • Take a PCR pre-departure test within 48 hours of travel
  • Take a PCR  test upon entry within 2 days of arrival
  • Take another PCR test on the 8th day after arrival
  • Isolate in a government managed hotel for 10 days

Non vaccinated travellers from the rest of the world must :

  • Complete a Passenger Locator Form within 48 hours of travel
  • Take a PCR pre-departure test within 48 hours of travel
  • Take a PCR  test upon entry within 2 days of arrival
  • Take another PCR test on the 8th day after arrival
  • Self-isolate for 10 days
  • Has the opportunity to take a test to release on day 5.

Fully vaccinated travellers from the rest of the world must :

  • Complete a Passenger Locator Form within 48 hours of travel
  • Take a PCR or Lateral Flow pre-departure test within 48 hours of travel
  • Take a PCR  test upon entry within 2 days of arrival
  • Self-isolate in the UK until received a negative test result
