Do you want to know more about the Business Connect Online Platform?

On Tuesday the 5th of March, the Franco-British Chamber was delighted to welcome Nicolas Mathieu, Product Manager at TIAO, the online matchmaking platform behind COBCOE (Council of British Chambers of Commerce in Europe) Connects.

COBCOE Connects is a platform that brings together businesses across the world allowing new, international business ties to form, facilitated by the trust and accountability that is fostered by member companies also being members of the Chambers of Commerce.

Nicolas started the talk with an introduction of COBCOE Connects and how it has grown in the past 12 months to become a platform which currently has 25 Chambers in 20 different countries with almost 10000 members.

Nicolas explained that the platform is a great way of finding new business through the “Opportunities” section of the site. He showed the guests how to create and post their own opportunities on the site and also how to view other opportunities.

He then also demonstrated the powerful research capabilities of the platform, linked to the KOMPASS directory, which allow members to search through 10.8 million companies based on NACE code, location, company size and many other criteria.

Nicolas then spoke about the development of the platform, with the help of pioneering Artificial Intelligence work at the Brussels University Artificial Intelligence lab and the new Chambers that will be joining to boost the opportunities on the platform.

The talk ended with a lively Q&A session as members were enthusiastic to find out more about the platform and start posting their own opportunities. This was followed by networking, coffee and croissants.
