The Franco British Chamber celebrates its 145th anniversary, and still not a single wrinkle!
I, Thierry Drilhon, am honoured to introduce myself in my first post as President of the Franco-British Chamber. Having succeeded Olivier Campenon, I would like to take this opportunity to thank him for his hard work and dedication over the past two years.
As a community, it goes without saying that we are experiencing a very challenging time, full of Brexit-linked uncertainty. With this in mind, the Chamber is more dedicated than ever to supporting the Franco-British business community.
During 2018, the Ambassadors in France, Lord Llewellyn and Mathew Lodge, have reaffirmed their trust in the Chamber. Similarly, the Chamber has consolidated its partnerships with the Department for International Trade, the Council of British Chambers of Commerce in Europe (COBCOE), the Paris Region Entreprendre and French and British Ministries. Moreover, the Franco-British Chamber has been granted the Award for Excellence in Innovation in Membership Development by its COBCOE peers. We have also recently become a COBCOE Quality Standard Platinum Certified Chamber.
After 145 years of existence, at the Chamber, we remain focused on your development which is at the heart of our plan. We are currently preparing a compelling program for 2019, where economics will stand alongside innovation, transformation of business, culture, leisure and the evolution of society.
In the framework of the transformation plan “Agility 2020”, the Chamber is looking to construct the ways in which we will benefit you the most. We look forward to working with you on new projects and events in the coming months, and promoting your activities within our community.
